Q. I lost the "Show Desktop" icon that's usually near my "Start" button.
How can I get it back?
A.
Right click on the "Start" button.
Select "Properties" from the popup menu.
Click on "Taskbar".
Check "Show Quick Launch"
Click on "OK".
If it is still missing you have to create a file called "Show Desktop.scf"
in C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
(Where <user> is your username) that contains:
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
