Q. How can I edit my GNOME menus?
A. There is a graphical menu editor but I find the easiest way is
to edit the files directly. Each menu item is defined by a file
with extension .desktop so you can do:
locate .desktop
and find where they are scattered around your system.
The name is usually descriptive enough.
Delete the .desktop file to remove the menu item
or edit it to change description.
